Each tag and label offers retailers a varying level of security, dependent on their design, strength and overall ability to resist tag defeat by professional shoplifters. We have categorized tags on their ability to resist attack by tools, magnets, foil/metal and the strength of the pin locking mechanism. Each tag and label can be categorized into one of the following classifications:
Low: Provides a low level of security, mainly a visual deterrent
Standard: Provides a standard level of security, suitable for many applications and will deter most opportunist shoplifters
High: Provides an excellent level of security, offering retailer’s a high level of resistance against tag attack and deterrence.
Extreme: The highest level of security available. These tags give retailers extreme protection against tag attack and will challenge even the most professional shoplifter’s efforts.
