Metal Guard System

The Metal Guard Detection Systems are designed specifically to detect foil-lined bags. These bags are a tool used by shoplifters to conceal and carry tagged merchandise virtually undetected through conventional AM/RF/EM detection systems.

The Metal Guard works by silently alerting staff or security personnel of items with large amounts of metal carried into the store, so a potential shoplifter can be surveyed. The system sits alongside the EAS pedestal and can be set to detect a metal object about the size of an A4 piece of paper.
